Welcome to the Imogene C. Triplett Gardens!

MSU's Imogene C. Triplett gardens are a place for the scientific study and public display of herbaceous and woody landscape plants. Conveniently located on campus surrounding Dorman Hall and the greenhouses, the plant material in the gardens is used for instruction and public education. The campus gardens began with landscaping and gardens installed in 1998 soon after the construction of the campus greenhouse complex. In 2008 the gardens were expanded to include the grounds around Dorman Hall, home of the Horticulture program in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences. In 2014 a fern glen, daylily and vine collection were added. In 2016, a perennial garden was established.

In October 2015 the gardens were named in memory of Imogene C. Triplett, an enthusiastic gardener, avid supporter of the gardens and active member of the Garden Clubs of Mississippi. The gardens support the department's mission of education, research and outreach.
